BACKGROUND
Chaoba SACCO Ltd was registered in 2015 as a Savings and Credit Co-operative Society Limited under
registration number CS/17736. In the year 2016,Chaoba SACCO published its first audited Financial
statements. The SACCO has grown tremendously and is positioned as a major financier for individual businessmen and women.
Started in Nairobi which is currently the headquarters of the Sacco operations, the Sacco now has three
more branches in Siaya County. The offices include Muthaiga Office in Nairobi County, Siaya office in
Alego Usonga sub County, Sega office in Ugenya sub county and Kambare Office in Gem sub county.
The SACCO has also experienced growth in staff numbers and professional experience, with currently 10
Staff spread in the 4 offices across the country. Over the years, the society has grown from strength to become a social safety net financial partner to many individual businessmen and women. This
is due to the support received from our members and other stakeholders at large.

Currently, our membership stands at 1500 members including men and women. Our asset base is at 26.2
million; our loan portfolio is 23.5 million. The assets are supported by member deposits of 9.3 million,
share capital of 8.1 million and other liabilities.
